Join our next Women's Self-Defence Course and get 12 hours of training for £30
The course is ideal if you have previously dismissed the idea of yourself as a 'martial arts person' or have been put off by the intense atmosphere at other dojos.
No previous experience is required and you don't need to be especially fit or do any kind of physical preparation. Just come as you are and be ready to have fun with like-minded people.
Learning self-defence skills with other women gave me the confidence to attend initially. Not sure I would have signed up due to lack of confidence if it wasn't a women's only group.

*£20 will be donated to Lighthouse Women’s Aid by Shockwave Jujitsu for each participant who completes both the pre- and post-course surveys.
All donations will be pooled and made as a single payment at the end of the course under the collective name ‘Women’s Self-Defence Course Participants – Shockwave Jujitsu’.
This approach allows us to support Lighthouse Women’s Aid while maintaining participant privacy.
Participation in surveys is voluntary and is used solely to help us evaluate and improve women’s self-defence provision.

Defend against arm grabs, strangles and chokes
Defend against slaps and punches
Defend against attacks on the ground
Defend against knife attacks
Fall safely and defend against a standing attacker
Fight to create the space necessary to safely run away
Feel more prepared in difficult situations
Excellent course and a must have for anyone wishing to increase their confidence and ability in dealing with threatening situations.
